- Then she returned to the Chicago area, where she received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School.
- Williams completed her residency in ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
- Finally, pursuing an affinity for plastic and reconstructive surgery, she completed a fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery.

She always has been and continues to be committed to service and education. She has dedicated much of her time to inspiring and training the next generation of physicians. Furthermore, she pursues lifelong involvement in her field, never settling for “good enough.”
- She has mentored college and medical students who are pursuing a career in medicine.
- She was a volunteer physician at John H. Stroger Jr, Hospital of Cook County, where she taught ophthalmology residents and performed oculoplastic surgery.
- She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Rush University Medical Center, where she holds the position of Director of the Oculofacial Service.
- She is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology (ENT) and in the Department of Surgery (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) at Rush University Medical Center.
